About the Monarchs

Monarchs logoThanks for visiting the website of the Gulf Coast Monarchs, Southwest Florida’s premiere youth travel baseball organization.

The 2017-18 season is the fifth for the Gulf Coast Monarchs, Florida’s first team associated with the Michigan-based Monarchs organization founded in 2000 by Jim Desana. Combined, last season’s 9U, 10U and 11U teams amassed a 149-43-1 record, winning the first place trophy in 16 tournaments, including the 10U Perfect Game Super 25 National Championship. Teams also brought home second place honors in 11 tournaments.

Now competing at the 10U, 11U and 12U levels, Monarchs players represent all of¬†Southwest Florida: Bonita Springs, Cape Coral, Estero, Fort Myers, Immokalee, Lehigh Acres and Naples. Our goal is to combine children’s raw abilities with proper baseball fundamentals, allowing them to develop their skills the right way. We aim to create an environment that promotes hard work, steady improvement and sportsmanship.

The Monarchs primarily compete in tournaments across Florida, but also have participated in high-profile out-of-state tournaments.
